Cute Shoes for Less!

Everyone loves shoes. People love them even more when they’re trendy. But what makes a shoe style trendy? I think there a couple of things to it. One of them is that they’re seen on the runways. The other is that there’s a way to get those styles for cheaper, so the masses have full access to trend up the style as they please. Basically, trends would be nothing without cheap, cute shoes! Even if a shoe style is insanely awesome looking, there’s a way to get it for cheap! Right now, wedges and espadrilles, most likely combined, are all the rage! There was a long time where I had no idea what “espadrille” meant, so I looked it up, and all it means is a shoe with a plaited fiber sole- A.K.A. a braided sole! Now that you know the word too, check out the ones I saw and loved… and knew I could afford!

At Papaya Clothing, I spotted these Lace Ribboned Wedges in a nice sandy color (above). First, they have the awesome espadrille wedge. Second, their straps are super cute! I love how they have a wrap-around strap, cause that’s the type of thing that really flatters an ankle. The eyelet material for the toe area is a lovely touch, and the knotted bow adds a quirk! Wear these with any colorful dress this summer, and watch out for compliments!

These Black Straw Belted Wedges, also from Papaya, are a nice standard strappy wedge. While being very practical in that their straps aren’t anything complicated, and their color is solid, they are also somehow very sophisticated shoes. They seem like they could be worn both to a wedding with a dress, and to the movies, with jeans! Cheap, cute shoes like these are the reason people like me can afford trendy items!

Floral espadrilles and wedges are proving to be a pretty big hit this summer. Try these satin floral espadrille wedges from gojane.com! They’re cute, cheap shoes that will go great with summer skirts, jeans, and dresses alike. I love the little bow above the peep toe, as well as the comfy slingback straps.

Do you like espadrilles and/or wedges? What would you wear them with?
