Jewish couples getting married have been using chuppahs for centuries, but apparently, the canopy is making its way into trendy weddings regardless of the couples faith.

A traditional canopy is typically made of four poles and a fabric top.   It can be as simple or as elaborate as youd like.   Look at this gorgeous one below which comes in a kit, from sukkahsoul.com.   Typically, florists have chuppahs available for rent and if youre getting married in a temple, do ask the rabbi for assistance.
