Zealous Neons

You may have noticed the return of the neons. Does that mean you have to dive right in? Not necessarily.
Neons are a trend. One that I observe rather than follow. I prefer keeping to my own style and mixing in a pinch of trend here and there. For example, three months ago I added neon green shoe laces to my white chucks. The cropped trench I bought in January has neon orange piping. That’s about the extent of what I can pull off.
In order for neons to work, you have to own them. Wholeheartedly. Your style personality and coloring dictate what’s most appropriate. Are you quiet or loud? Or, somewhere in between? How you interpret this particular trend is what makes you unique.
I will not pretend that I don’t love punchy color — especially the unexpected pulled together. The red eye shadow with the turquoise earrings and neon green jacket below are kickin’! However, I reserve this for photo shoots. Just wish I thought of this color combination first!
